Misa Buckley was born in Flixton, Manchester, and raised on a steady diet of science fiction shows. When she hit her teens, she raided her sister’s Harlequin stash, while still watching Doctor Who, Space 1999, and Space Shuttle launches. So perhaps it’s not surprising that, when she started to write, she blended sci fi and romance.

Her first novella – IRONHAVEN – was published in 2011. There followed several more books, and a series of sci fi romance shorts. TIN CAT won the SFRB Award for Most Geeky. ARCHANGEL won the Prism Award for Best Novella in 2015. She still has no idea quite how that happened.

When she’s not writing, Misa takes care of her disabled husband. She loves to paint, play mandolin and ukulele, crochet, and garden. She and her husband live just outside of Bolton, Manchester, with their adult son, a dog, a cat, and a shed full of motorcycles (that’s down to her son.)
