I have been making up stories since I was a child, though I didn’t start writing them down until my early twenties, when I discovered fan fiction. I loved exploring the less popular characters – usually the “bad” guys – and trying to figure out what made them tick.
Raised on a diet of Doctor Who, Star Trek and Shuttle launches, I was drawn to science fiction, while stealing books from my Harlequin-obsessed sister lead me to add a romantic twist to my stories. It was only when I became a part of the writing community that I discovered this was actually a sub-genre known as sci fi romance.
My first novella was published July 2011, and was followed by several others and a couple of awards – TIN CAT won the Most Geeky Galaxy Award while ARCHANGEL won the Prism Best Novella Award.
While writing has taken a backseat to other passions of late, I still potter on occasion and plan to release another book in 2019 (or at least finish one!)
As fr me, I’m the wrong side of 40 and I live in the north-west of England with my husband and children. Unlike most authors, I have no cats and I’m not overly keen on coffee.
